Lei Day in May is our annual charity event to raise funds for surgery for children from our neighbouring countries in the South Pacific. A lei (a garland of flowers) is our symbol of the love we have for their children and our hope to save their lives or restore their dignity.

On Lei Day in May each year, we celebrate the kindness of those who donate the funds that make this surgery possible. We show our appreciation to the medical professionals who carry out the surgery and treat the children. We thank all Rotarians and host families for their generosity and appreciate their dedication to saving the lives of mothers and children.

Host a Lei Day party in May

Host a Lei Day event at your Club or workplace in May. Make it a party or a feast and wear your best tropical island shirt and, of course, wear a colourful lei. Use our Host kit to promote your event – there is a poster to advertise it, and an invitation you can customise. You can request a ROMAC speaker to present at your event and provide moving stories about our patients. See Host Kit below.
