Judi Brown Central Region Chair
Judith-Marie (Judi) Brown is a retired nurse and midwife who has held a number of corporate and health leadership roles. Judi is a graduate of the University of South Australia and holds two graduate diplomas and a Masters of Education (HRD) degree. She has held senior South Australian positions, including Assistant Director of Nursing (Education) at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and CEO/Registrar of the Nurses Board of South Australia.
Judith has worked in health management and advocacy roles in many parts of the world, including as Director of Nursing and Midwifery Development for the Dubai Health Authority and as technical consultant to the World Health Organisation. For three years she was the volunteer Director of the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) in The Hague, Netherlands.
Judi has been a member of the Rotary Club of Morialta since 2011, and in 2018 with the support of her Club and District and Global grants, she initiated a Rotary midwifery leadership buddy project in Papua New Guinea, to help improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
