Glenys Parton Chair of the Board of Directors
Glenys is proud to be part of ROMAC and passionate about its cause. She has a strong sense of loyalty to Rotary and ROMAC. Glenys resides in New Zealand in District 9930, and has been a Rotarian since 2009, firstly with Fairfield Club, Hamilton and currently with Tauranga Sunrise Club,
Tauranga.
Glenys has experience across the ROMAC organisation, starting with her appointment as D9930 District Chair in 2016, where she cared for children coming into the district for orthopaedic treatment under ROMAC. She continued this role while also serving as New Zealand Regional Chair from 2017 until June 2022. Following that she was appointed Deputy Chair in November 2022.
Glenys currently works full time as Technical Director for the New Zealand Avocado Industry.
She has tertiary qualifications in science and a post graduate qualification in management studies. She has held a number of governance positions in not-for-profit organisations and education, and has completed a Regional Director Development course with the Institute of Directors in New
Zealand. Glenys is a Justice of the Peace for New Zealand and a registered independent celebrant.
